Macarons for Beginners

Learn the history of the Macaron!  We discuss tips and tricks and the three major “methods” of making Macarons:  Italian, French, and Swiss.  You will learn to pipe and fill macaron shells (that we’ve made beforehand for you)- with filings made by you!  We will also show you easy and fun ways to decorate the shell that you can do at home!

COST: $85 per student (6 class max occupancy)

Fondant for Beginners

Learn how to utilize silicone molds, learn the importance of tylose powder and tips and tricks of how to make fondant do all the things you need it to do for your cakes and cookies!  Students will also practice wrapping a real mini baby cake in fondant that they can take home!

Cake 101: The Basics of Cake Decorating

Dive into cake decorating!  From the basics to mastering a smooth buttercream! Learn tips and tricks and make your own cake in our very own cake studio.  Each student will take home one baby cake they decorate themselves and a swag bag courtesy of The Hive.

COST: $150 per student (4 class max occupancy)

Macarons- Start to Finish

In this class students should have basic knowledge of baking, piping, and measuring using a scale.  Students will make our signature macaron recipe and design their own Valentine’s Day themed macarons: including shell design, filling and overall aesthetic.  This includes mixing, piping, and baking shells.

Sugar Cookie Stenciling (and other Techniques)

Learn fun and fast ways to elevate your at-home sugar cookie baking! We will practice making the perfect royal icing and explore mastering different consistencies for different techniques. Students will learn how to properly stencil, make transfers, and practice writing in royal icing.
